Join an amazing adventure. Travel through time in one of the in one of the most beautiful areas in Europe, still not spoiled by modern civilization.
Hike through the trails which for centuries served as main routes to connect the villages in this remote area in the Balkans.
You will not just hike between 3 countries, you will hike through traditions, culture, hospitality and amazing food, grown locally.
Don’t be scared by the name though, the Accursed Mountains. In contrast, here you will find some of the most welcoming people.
Together with our experienced guides, you will hike through the trails of Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro. All of them as different, but at the same time, as similar to one another.
Before you get excited, keep in mind that this is not a hike for everyone. Some of the trails are challenging, and the average daily walk are around 18Km (approx. 11miles).
However, every day will offer magnificent and dramatic views, as well as delicious food and vegetables which actually taste like vegetables.

The third night is in Cerem. In this village, electricity is an issue, so prepare to have power cuts, or no power at all. Shared rooms with up to 6 people per room. Toilets and showers might be shared.
The fourth day we will be in Valbona. Lovely guesthouses and no power cuts. Comfortable night. Shared rooms with up to 6 people per room. Toilets and showers might be shared.
The fifth day is also a good day. Accommodation in Theth are same standards as in Valbona Valley, so, no problems here as well. Shared rooms with up to 6 people per room. Toilets and showers might be shared.
Sixth day we will get back to a middle class hotel in Plav, Montenegro. Shared twin rooms unless otherwise specified.

Ninth day we will be in the capital. Again, middle class hotel expected. Shared twin rooms unless otherwise specified.
Tenth day. Well, today you got to sleep in your own bed 🙂
Hiking boots are a must. The trails do not allow hiking sandals.
This is a personal choice. If you are used to hike with poles, than it’s a good idea to bring them with you.
Considered the time of the year in which we do these kind of tours, the weather is perfect. However, in the mountains the weather might change instantly, so it’s always a good idea to bring along some water proof jacket.
We did this tour in late september 2016. Me and my friend were joined by a Danish couple in this amazing adventure. Our guide, Andi was very friendly and very knowledgeable about history culture and traditions. The food was simply incredible (told by an Italian) :). Everything tastes like it was supposed to. The guesthouses were very friendly. This was my second time in Albania after many years. I will see you soon guys. Tommy
